Finding family in uncertain times

During the Covid-19 lockdown, the Grand Universe Lucca was particularly empty. However, one family decided to stop by the hotel for the night. They enjoyed their time with the team so much that the following week, they stayed for another night. One night became two, and two became three, until they spent almost every day at the hotel. The team were delighted to have the company of the wonderful mother, her hilarious son and lovely teenage daughter.

This family became a part of the hotel, with the team helping out wherever they could. From homework with the son to makeup with the teenage girl, the team did everything they could to help their extended stay feel like home. When the family let associate Vanessa know that their last day had arrived, the family and the entire hotel team were emotional - even shedding a few tears together. The team felt that they had 'started a real friendship that will last forever'.
