Finding Monet in Venice
A couple of luminaries arrived at The St. Regis Venice for a two-night stay for their wedding anniversary. Enamored by our connection with Claude Monet (Monet painted San Giorgio Maggiore, Twilight from one of our Suite overlooking the Grand Canal), they shared with the Housekeeping Supervisor, Kristine that they were looking for a specific Monet book since landing in Venice. They wanted to recreate a particular glimpse of the lagoon from the book. Discovering their quest for book, "Monet: Trionfo dell'Impressionismo," Kristine, with Irene, the Executive Housekeeper, orchestrated a surprise. A copy was found in a town 40 km away.
Facing the challenge of delivering the book before sunset for the special re-creation, Kristine enlisted her sister Klariza. Against the odds, the book arrived in time, adorned with a letter and balloons, creating a memorable surprise in the guests room.
The couple was delighted by the thoughtful gesture. They expressed gratitude, promising to return to The St. Regis Venice whenever life brings them back to the city. Kristine's dedication made their stay truly unforgettable.
